TORONTO, ON-TAAAAAA-RI-O — Kiddies, save the date for this year’s edition of Newzapalooza, also known as “The Media Event of the Year,” hosted on the northern shore of Lake Ontario. Hard to believe it’s now 22 years since a bunch of Toronto-area hacks with musical talent of varying degrees first left their newsroom day jobs behind to compete in a media battle of the bands extravaganza, but here we are. We’re back at it with another special live karaoke band edition, featuring the amazing The Approximators. True to our roots, it’s a night to sing, cheer and have fun with colleagues and friends of Newzapalooza. Spread the word!
